French Translation Service Singapore

A French page does not tell you where it was made. One from Lyon needs a single stamp. The same page in French from Dakar or Abidjan still needs the old, long route, because those countries sit outside the stamp system. Families, French school parents, students and firms use our French translation service in Singapore for French document translation Singapore offices take, for ICA, MOM, ROM, schools and banks.

We ask which country printed your page before we give a price, because that one answer sets the whole plan.

The small marks over French letters are part of your name. We keep them, and we note the plain form too.

School reports go both ways here. Some families are joining the French school, others are leaving it.

Some French courts only accept a translator on their own list. We say so instead of selling you our stamp.

Homes And Offices Needing French Document Translation Singapore

French reaches this desk from more places than most people guess. Some pages come from France. Some come from Africa, Canada or a French island far from Europe. And a good share never leaves Singapore, because a family or a firm here works in French every day.

Families Joining A Parent Here

France to Singapore

Birth and marriage pages for ICA. The short version of a French birth page leaves the parents out, and that is the part ICA reads.

Parents At The French School

Within Singapore

Reports move both ways. Some children are joining that school, and some are leaving it for a school back in France.

Students Going Over To France

Singapore to France

Degrees and mark sheets for a university office in Paris, Lyon or Toulouse, sent in the form they ask for.

Workers From French-Speaking Africa

Africa to Singapore

Birth pages and police letters for MOM. These come from countries with a longer stamp route, so we plan that first.

French Firms With A Base Here

Within Singapore

Deals, staff papers and machine guides moving between a head office in France and a team sitting in Singapore.

Couples Fixing A ROM Date

France to Singapore

Proof that neither of you is already married, plus an older divorce paper if there is one. ROM wants both in English.

Countries Behind Certified French Translation Singapore Files Vary

The words are French. The rules are not. Some countries let you finish with one stamp. Others still send you round the old, slow way. Read your own country below before you pay for any stamp at all.

French Islands & Territories

Pages from Reunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique or New Caledonia follow French rules. Offices here often do not know that, so we spell it out.

Types Of French Certificate Translation We Handle Weekly

Pages coming in have to please an officer who reads only English. Pages going out have to please an office in France that will not read English at all. Both piles land here, and our Singapore translation and certification agency runs them side by side.

Pages Coming Into Singapore

French wording, read here in English

A birth page from a town hall. A family book with four names in it. A police letter with a short life on it. A school report scored out of twenty. Each one has a French shape that an officer here has never seen, and small side notes down the edge that often matter more than the main box. Common routes:

Work Going Out In French

Where the reader sits in France

This is where one warning matters most. For a French court or some public offices, only a translator on their own national list will do, and our stamp will not stand in for that. We tell you at the start when that is your case. For everything else, from letters to product pages, we do the work here. What people send:

Hiring A French Translator In Singapore Step By Step

Four steps, and the first one is a single word from you. Tell us the country. Everything else on this page follows from that answer, including how much you end up paying for stamps.

1

Name The Country On The Page

Not the language, the country. France, Belgium, Canada, Senegal. That single word tells us which stamp route your file will take.

2

Read The Price And The Stamp Plan

One price, one date, and a plain list of stamps you do or do not need. Many people find they need fewer than they were told.

3

Say Yes And We Begin

Nothing is typed before you agree. A French reader writes it, then a second person checks every name, date and mark against your page.

4

Collect The Finished Set

A stamped PDF by email, or printed copies by courier. If an office asks us about our wording later, we answer them.

Simple Rates For French Translation Pricing Singapore

The price is set before we start and does not move. Stamps sit on their own line, so you can see what each one costs and drop any you do not need.

1. Family And Personal Pages

Birth and marriage pages, family books, ID cards, school reports, police letters, court orders

S$50/page

starting from

  • A family book is priced by page, not by how many names it holds
  • Send the whole set together and the rate for each page drops
  • Stamps are quoted on their own line, only after we know your country

2. Business And Technical Files

Deals, staff papers, machine guides, safety sheets, web pages, ads, meeting notes

S$0.22/word

starting from

  • You tell us who reads it, and we write at that level
  • Lines that repeat across a guide set are counted once
  • Your word list is saved, so the next batch matches this one

Slips That Delay French To English Translation Jobs

Four of the five below add weeks. One of them just wastes money. Every single one is settled by two questions asked before any work starts, which is why we ask them.

Seen All The Time

Five Ways A French File Loses Weeks

Ask the office for its list in writing before you buy any stamp

Taking French To Mean France

Two pages can look alike and follow different rules. One needs a single stamp. The other needs three offices and six weeks.

Ordering The Short Birth Page

France prints more than one version. The short one leaves your parents out, and that is the part an officer here wants to read.

Dropping The Marks Off A Name

Take the mark off a French letter and you have changed the name. On one file with several papers, that reads as two people.

Buying Stamps Before Asking

People pay for a stamp their office never wanted. Ask the office in writing first, then buy only what is on that list.

Sending Our Stamp To A French Court

Some French courts only take a translator on their own list. A file with the wrong stamp is not weak, it is simply not read.

How We Work

What We Do On Every French Job

Two questions first, then a price. Never the other way round

Country Before Price

We ask where the page was printed before we say a number. That order of questions is what keeps your stamp bill honest.

Name Marks Kept As Printed

Every mark over a French letter stays. We also show the plain form in a note, so a system that cannot type them still matches you.

We Send You Away When Needed

If a French court wants its own listed translator, we say so and lose the job. Finding out at the counter costs you far more.

Both Directions For School Families

Reports going into the French school here, and reports leaving it for a school in France. Same team, same word list, both ways.

Checks People Make Before English To French Translation

Prices and steps sit above. Below are the questions people really put to us, usually with a page in one hand and an office email they do not fully understand in the other.

My birth page is in French but it came from Senegal, not France. Same thing?

The words are the same. The route is not, and that is the whole point of this page. France sits inside the short stamp system, so one certificate finishes the job. Several French-speaking countries in West and Central Africa are still outside it, so the older embassy route applies and that takes weeks, not days. Country lists do change, so we look yours up again for every order rather than trusting an old note. Tell us the country and we will plan it properly.

France prints more than one version of a birth page. Which one should I ask for?

For almost anything here, the one that names your parents. France issues a full copy, a short version with parents on it, and a short version without them. People often order the last one because it is quickest, then an officer asks who the parents are and the file stops. Ask your town hall for the full copy or the version with parents. If you already hold one, send us a photo and we will tell you which you have.

My first name has a mark over a letter. The form here will not take it.

We keep the mark and add a note. Those marks are part of the name in French, not decoration, and taking one off changes the name. Our page prints it exactly as your document has it, then shows the plain form beside it so a system that cannot type the mark still matches you. Bring your passport page too. If the passport already drops the mark, we show both and nobody has to guess which person you are.

A court in France asked for a sworn translator. Will your stamp be enough?

Very likely not, and we would rather say so now. France keeps its own lists of approved translators, and when a court names that list, only someone on it will satisfy them. Our work is well accepted in Singapore and by many banks and schools abroad, but it cannot stand in for a national listing. Send us the exact wording the court used. If it points at their list, we tell you and help you find the right route instead.

My school report is scored out of twenty. Do you turn those into local grades?

No, and that rule protects you. We copy every subject, every mark and the scale note exactly as printed. Changing a French twenty-point mark into a local grade is a judgement call for an assessment body, not a translator, and quiet guessing can cost a school place. Send both sides of the report, because the note explaining the scale is often on the back and that is what lets a school here read the front correctly.

My page was issued eight months ago. Is it too old to use?

It may be, depending on who is receiving it. Offices in France often want a civil page issued in the last three months, and some offices here follow the same habit. A page that is fine for a bank may be refused by a town hall. Ask the receiving office for its rule before you order anything from us. Getting a fresh page from France first is far cheaper than paying twice for the same translation.

We are moving our children into the French school here. Which way does the work go?

Usually both ways over time, and that surprises people. Reports from a school in France come to us for English so the school here can read the record. Later, if the family moves back, the Singapore reports go the other way into French. We keep the same subject names and the same word list on file, so the second batch lines up with the first instead of using different words for the same subject.

Our papers are from Belgium. Is that treated the same as France?

Same language, same short stamp route, different paperwork. Office names, page layouts and even the way dates are set out follow Belgian practice, not French. A reader who only knows French forms will label a Belgian office wrongly, and an officer here will not spot it but a Belgian one will. Tell us it is Belgian, or Swiss, and it goes to a reader who works with those forms.

Our contract writes amounts as 1 500,50. Will you change them to our style?

No. French uses a comma where English uses a full stop, and rewriting figures is exactly how a large number turns into a small one. We copy each amount as printed and add a short line at the top explaining the style used in the original. Your finance team then reads it correctly, and no one at our end has made a money decision that was never ours to make.

Everything is still in Paris with my family. Can we begin from photos?

Yes, and most jobs here start that way. Ask them to lay each page flat, shoot it in daylight, and catch all four corners plus the back. Do not crop, because French pages carry small notes down the side that record later events, and those notes often matter. Your originals stay in France. The only work needing a real original in this office is a certified true copy, and we will warn you well before that.
